Raman Award

  • Raman Award recognizes outstanding achievements and contribution by a young Individual at an early stage of their career. The award is to encourage and promote Individuals from diverse area of science and technology to work towards the betterment of humanity.
  • Raman Award is given to one candidate each year. It consists of a certificate to the winner and/or a cash prize.
  • Application is by nomination only. Experts from various fields can nominate a candidate for this award. Self-nomination is not permitted; no person may nominate more than one person.
  • Nomination is made from January to March each year and the decision is reached by July. Raman Award is given on the 15th of August each year.
  • A nomination letter, brief description of why the applicants should receive the award, applicants current CV with names and email addresses of two referees should be sent to Award Committee
  • A team of consultants at K-Life Solutions judges all application and makes their recommendation to Raman Award committee. Raman Award committee takes the final decision.
  • Raman Award committee members consists of Mrs. Radha Padmanabhan, Mrs. Srividya Seshadri, Mrs. Sripriya Sriram and Mr. Srivatsanarayan K.

Dr. Igor Igorevich Adameyko - Raman Award Recipient 2012
Dr. Igor Igorevich Adameyko is currently an assistant professor at the Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. Dr. Adameyko received his Phd in Molecular Biology from Nizhniy Novgorod State University, Russia. Dr. Adameyko has worked as a researcher at Dartmouth Medical School, USA and Karolinska Institutet, Sweden before starting his own research group.

The research of Dr. Adameyko is concentrated on the identification of novel fundamental mechanisms of tissue development and homeostasis, which are essential for our understanding of the cancer origin. We wish Igor the best in his career.
